When to fly
It is best to take a flight to Kalgoorlie between April and September when the weather is coolest. To experience some wonderfully consistent heat, visit in the warmest month of January. Kalgoorlie tends to be a quiet town, but this all changes in September during the Boulder to Kalgoorlie Cup. This is a yearly horse racing event which attracts visitors from all over the West of Australia to the town to make bets, socialise, carouse, and generally make merry. Book flights to Kalgoorie during this month to experience some real Western Australian hospitality.
