Peak season
The gateway to the Southern Kimberley region in West Australia, Broome is a heritage pearling town with two distinct seasons; wet and dry. Most travellers take cheap flights to Broome during the dry season which runs from April/May to September/October. During this time the weather is optimal with balmy temperatures averaging 30C, clear skies and low rainfall. The tourist season peaks from mid-June to mid-August swelling the population of this small coastal town. School holidays fall within this period, so book either side to avoid higher priced flight tickets. The tropical climate and stunning Cable Beach are just two reasons for booking flights to Broome, but surfing, snorkeling, fishing, 4WD adventures and camel rides are also popular activities.
