Port Lincoln climate

As a coastal town offering plenty of maritime activities, Port Lincoln is at its best when the weather is warm. Therefore, this is an ideal destination to take a flight to during the spring (September to November), when temperatures are around 18 to 22 degrees Celsius and summer (December to February), with temperatures reaching up to 25 degrees. During this time, visitors will be able to make the most out of the beautiful beaches and national parks. The rest of the year, however, still sees very pleasant temperatures, ranging from 24 to 16 degrees.

Getting around Port Lincoln

Getting around the city is also fairly straightforward as most of the scenic routes are best enjoyed on foot. If you would like to travel further out however, there is a regular bus service that accommodates travel within the city itself, whilst a car rental is ideal for longer excursions.

Getting to the city from the airport

Getting to the city once your flight has landed at Port Lincoln Airport (PLO) is relatively simple. Whilst it is one of Australia’s smaller airports, it’s still incredibly busy with a few transport links to be aware of. There is a taxi rank located just outside of the terminal offering a direct route into the city, just remember to agree a fare with your driver before departing. There are also several car rental offices in the airport that are ideal if you’d prefer to see the region at your own comfort and convenience, ideal to book when you book your flights to Port Lincoln making sure a car is available.
