When to fly to Regina

Regina experiences the best weather from May to September, when Canadian spring and summertime is in full flow. Whilst this charming getaway is frequented throughout the year, with the number of visitors peaking in July and August, May and September offer the best opportunity to enjoy lovely weather at a reduced cost. School summer holidays usually fall within July and August, making these the two busiest months of the year, especially with families. Also, during this time many hotels, tour operators and attractions will run special offers to increase tourism during the off-peak season. It should also be noted that whilst the weather is exceptionally cold from around November to February, many areas will have beautiful winter holidays to enjoy. February’s Downtown Ice & Fire Winter Carnival is a stunning event that even includes a masquerade ball.

Getting around Regina

The city is very easy to navigate in a rental car, but if you prefer public transport, Regina Transit runs regularly and can get you anywhere you need to go in the city.
