The boarding was quick and efficient. Seats were pretty comfortable for budget. No charging ports or screens but that's okay However, no liquids above 100ml are allowed on board, including any water you purchase at the airport after customs (which is usually allowed with other airlines, including budget). So you have to buy water on the plane. Water is expensive and comes in small 350ml bottles. If you want to pay by card, there is a minimum spend, which means you are forced to buy other things just so you can have some water. Or you can pay by cash, which we didn't have enough of the local currency left as we were heading home. We also had no AUD cash because we don't usually carry any. At least with Jetstar you can have free hot water. Water is a basic necessity and should not be so hard to acquire on an overnight flight. Absolutely ridiculous.
