Very chaotic on pickup day. Didn't have the exact size vehicle I reserved. Would have preferred a newer vehicle. The SUV had 58k miles and lots of broken things on it. Needs to be sold and replaced by a new model.

When I booked the rental it stated that a Chevrolet Trailblazer was being g reserved for me. Whe I arrived to pick up the rental it was a different smaller vehicle. Not large enough for 4 adults with luggage for a cruise. Attendant let me choose a more appropriate sized vehicle. That worked out great. That was the only issue I had. Everything else worked out great.

I made my reservation same day because of last minute changes in my travel plans. When I arrived at the counter they told me they only had luxury cars available and could not rent to me unless I paid $112 extra per day. They explained that they couldn’t honor same day reservations. … which just left me wondering why they accepted them. I rented from Hertz, it was a great experience and guaranteed that I’ll never rent with Sixt!

We booked the flight and the car rental through Kayak one would think the rental car would be at the airport. Instead we had to Uber from the airport rental place to downtown Dallas. Then we had to pay extra to drop off at airport rental place. Other than that it would have been great. Wasted a lot of time and some money. I guess when you book one would think if I am flying into a place the website would pick the rental place close. I will look up address next time. Who knew!

Upon arrival we were happy that a Camry was available also the staff was very nice and friendly he suggested a restaurant to us that turned out to the highlight of our trip! I wish we could have had better communication upon return of our vehicle. The desk was unable to give us what our balance would be. We didn’t feel comfortable with just leaving the car there without any proof of return

The car was great. Drop off was good. Pick up wasn’t great. The agent was not clear on giving instructions on where the car was and didn’t ask if I wanted a print out of the contract or if I wanted it emailed. He also offered other vehicles but wasn’t clear on the additional charges that that would incur.

They did not have a car for me, even after renting the car online on May 31st. I was given a number to call and they searched the other locations and they "had" some at DFW International airport. Once I arrived to the airport I was greeted by a rude employee behind the counter that told me that even if they had a car to give me that it would be a price increase. I told them that just a few hours before I spoke with someone and they were to note my reservation that the cost was to stay the same and all I was doing was picking up at a location that showed cars available. When departing the location there were a line of unhappy guests in the same problem as I was in. I ended up having to search and found a rental but it was with a different company.

Oil change warning in the car came on, and customer service told me to have the oil changed and be reimbursed. Drop-off agent told me I violated protocol and shouldn’t have changed the oil (and paid for it out of pocket), all while typing and not making eye contact. I was then threatened with the $450 cleaning fee - which I didn’t violate. I’ll never rent from Avis again. Terrible experience.

Customer service number is impossible to find on their website. Cancellation was not possible through hertz. I was asked to login and enter my confirmation number countless times before giving up and not finding any help. When I went in to the physical store, I was given the customer service hotline to call where I was on hold for 40 minutes only to be told I was unable to cancel my reservation. Overall terrible experience and awful customer service.

They told me no cars were available at the reserved time. They tried telling me my reservation was for 10:30 when the paperwork clearly showed 9:00am. They made me wait and then began giving cars to other customers until I spoke with three different Hertz employees which took me an hour to get my car.

Horrible. They changed the size of my rental, added hidden fees, the front desk made us wait forever because he forgot he had gotten the keys to the car. We caught him talking to a coworker he had completely forgotten he had to finish taking care of us. Horrible experience, never renting with thrifty or dollar again. Alamo was great

Had to wait a couple hours for a car. They would not give me an eta of when a car would be available. After asking a 3rd time I started to call a number on the contract. They then gave me a car thst had been sitting on the lot. Also, people thst came after us got cars before us. Same size cars. Doubtful I will ever use a 3 r d party for a car again and I won’t ever use dollar again.

We had to cancel our reservation and get another car from another agency. We we went to the desk to get our car we were told it was going to be a 2-3hr wait for a car to be available to us. No explanations why other than there were none ready and we had to get in line with everyone else and when one became available then we could have it. There were no notices sent out of info given it was just a show up and wait. I don't mind waiting some times, I get it, but 2-3 hours is a bit much.
