The problem was with Kayak. I asked to book a car at LAX and it was booked miles away at Venice Beach. I went through all the stress of lugging my suitcases and trying to find the shuttle, only to get to the LAX site and be told I'd have to pay to change my reservation or take a taxi to Venice Beach. You should be reimbursing me $60 for the two taxis I had to take back and forth. Also, you should give specific instructions about where to get the shuttle. You didn't give any. I was out in traffic trying to find the shuttle. Sixt is very hard to get to by phone! It was also hard to hear and the man had a thick accent and wasn't specific enough about how to get from the door from Southwest to the correct " purple" column. A lot of difficulty and stress. Thank you.

We waited for more than 45 minutes to get the airport shuttle to Midway, and finally gave up and instead took the bus to Uber/Lyft and paid for a ride to Midway. Then we waited more than 1 hour in line to get to the counter. On the return, we couldn’t get the door for refueling open to gas up. We called and went to two separate gas stations after they called back. The their instructions didn’t work. Waiting for the shuttle bus was again problematic because it never came, so we ended up taking the shuttle from an adjoining hotel. Needless to say, we almost missed our flight home.

It was the worst vacation related experience ever! After waiting a 1/2 an hour for a Budget bus at LAX we tried to hail one down only to have the empty Budget bus accelerate away from us. After another 5 minutes of waiting we tried to get another bus’s attention as it tried to evade us, again it was empty, I jumped toward it and it stopped. The Budget bus driver yelled at me for jumping in the street and then proceeded to load everyone on the bus then he got into argument with a traffic police officer. Then he got in the bus and finally we thought we were on our way. Keep in mind this is about 35 minutes of waiting at the curb at the American terminal at LAX at 9:30 PM. But no. For some inexplicable reason the Budget bus driver got out of his seat and ran out of the bus and restarted the argument with the traffic officer. He started pushing the officer around and then jumped back in the bus and said the officer assaulted him. From were I was sitting it seemed like the opposite really happened. Then he announced that a supervisor was needed. More waiting as he called on the radio for a supervisor. After that he went back outside and argued with now a congregation of officers. I called the local Budget office and told them what happened and to send another bus asap. I urged the others, there were about a dozen of us to do the same. Then my wife spotted another Budget bus. I ran outside and flagged it down. Afterwards all of us got on the bus and we were finally on way to get our Budget rental car. Luckily there was no line to get the car because apparently for what ever reason the buses were not picking up renters at the terminals. I will never rent from Budget again. And I urge everyone not to consider Budget for their rental needs especially at LAX .

1. Pickup representative was not very helpful 2. Car was dirty and damaged 3. Car entertainment system was buggy/faulty 4. At return, I was hassled about the damage (which was pre-existing) 5. At return, the agent didn't check for left items. I should have checked myself, of course, but the end result was that I lost my jacket. Trying to get it back has been an ordeal.

He processed the payment before confirming the total charges. The morning after drop off, I was charged an additional $127.00 with no explanation. I needed a car for 5 hrs. The quoted price by the agent on-site was way too higher than the online prices. Had to reserve a car online in order for the agent to get me a batter price. This in fact was the 2nd car I rented from dollar in last 2 weeks. First one was booked for 13 days and the agent tried his level best to up sell various additional products by giving wrong information.
