The Rotorua International airport (ROT) is a gateway airport for the Bay of Plenty on the north island which includes Rotorua, making it easy to reach from several countries. Rental cars, shuttles, taxis or city bus transport are all available from the airport to transport you to the city. The city is located a mere 8 km from the airport, making it a 10-minute drive to reach it once you land.
