Peak Season:
Hamilton Island is the largest inhabited island of the Whitsunday Islands lying 16 km off the coast of Queensland. The picturesque spot enjoys warm weather all year round and is a popular holiday destination with many Australian and overseas visitors booking flights to Hamilton Island. Summer (November to February) is the main peak season and you should book flights to Hamilton Island well in advance for the Christmas / New Year period and January school holidays. Kids stay free at some resorts and eat free at some of the restaurants on the island. There are plenty of family-friendly activities to enjoy such as bushwalking, go karting, golf and mini golf, a shooting range and a Koala Gallery Wildlife Experience. Other peak periods include: Easter, Great Barrier Feast (June), Whale-watching season (July – September) and Race Week (August).
Off Season:
April to August is considered low season, where you can get accommodation deals and find some of the cheapest flights to Hamilton Island. In winter (June – August) temperatures can dip to the low 20s, so while it may be too cold swimming, there are plenty of shore-based activities and a wide range of cafes and restaurants. November to May is the tropical cyclone season, while Box Jellyfish stinger season is from October through to May.
There’s no bad time to book flight tickets to Hamilton Island, but if you plan to spend the majority of your time swimming and enjoying watersports then you’ll want to avoid the stinger season. September is recommended as the best month to take cheap flights to Hamilton Island, where you’ll manage to avoid school holiday periods, cyclones, stingers and the peak tourist season. Plus the weather is a comfortable 26C with low rainfall and humidity.

The crew, food, and entertainment were amazing. The leg room/distance from the row in front of you seems smaller than other airlines which is very uncomfortable.
