Airline food is sometimes seen as a bit of a joke. Microwaved, bland and tasteless. While it’s a well known fact that airlines add more flavourings such as sugar to compensate for food tasting blander at 35,000 feet, it’s perhaps worrying that passengers happily accept what they are served without considering nutritional information – that are readily available on supermarket and restaurant food.
