Ontario experiences hot summers and bitterly cold winters with heavy snowfall. For cities that are close to the Great Lakes, spring and autumn tend to be relatively mild but generally experience more rainfall then the cities further away from the lakes. The cities located further away from the Great Lakes in the southern province will have much hotter weather which can range around 30 degrees Celsius.
