Peak Season
The laid back lifestyle, range of activities and natural ocean setting, are just a few of the reasons why visitors seek cheap flights to Byron Bay. This coastal town boasts great weather year round, which makes it a popular spot for Northern Hemisphere visitors to catch some sun. Summer is Byron Bay’s busiest period, as it’s a go-to spot for families over the Christmas / New Years break. The many festivals and cultural events taking place in and around Byron Bay can also make getting flight tickets more difficult.
Off Season
Byron Bay is always busy but the weeks immediately after Christmas and New Years, are a lot quieter than at other times. January and February are the hottest and wettest months of the year with temperatures up in the high 20s so there are often cheap flights to Byron Bay in these months.
Byron Bay’s subtropical weather makes it a year round holiday destination, so booking cheap flights to Byron Bay is always a good idea. Some peak periods to look out for include: Schoolies (November and December), Christmas/New Year and Easter where booking a flight may be more expensive. Be aware of some of the larger festivals taking place including: the Byron Bay Writers Festival in July/August, the Byron Bay Surf Festival in October and the Byron Latin Fiesta in October/November.

I felt like I was cattle on a cattle truck. Albeit, a politely treated steer! Packed flight sitting next to morbidly obese couple spilling into my seat; baby screaming behind me; food/drink cart passed me by without offering me anything. Definitely not a flight for a business traveller!
